Recycling is becoming more and more integrated to our habits of life, and it is so much better! The day to day gesture of recycling enables us to preserve our resources by allowing to remake new with the old. Here are a few examples:
Tons ofpaper, cardboard, plastic, glass and metalstill take thepath of thegarbage baginstead of beingdepositedin the recoveryand recycledinto useful products.Same destinationfor tableand garden wastethat could berecycledbycomposting. In addition, hundreds of computers, tons of clothes, furniture, appliances, printer cartridges andpaint cansare stilldeposited in thegarbagewhen they could bereconditionedand reused.
The principleof the"3Rs"? In fact, this principlecan be applied toevery day, wherever you are. The first"R"is toreduce waste, because theleast harmfulwaste is the wastethatis not produced. The second"R" isfor reusewhich aims toextend the life ofexistingassets such aspaper, cardboard, clothing for example. The third"R"for recycling. Thus, recovering the glass, plasticand aluminum, canproduce neweveryday products. Finally, the "V" means the valuationeitherfor compostingorfor the purpose ofenergy production.
Twenty-five percent (25%) of all wastegeneratedin Quebeccomes frombuilding materials?Reduction -Reuse- Recuperation- Recycling... wordsthat one must havein mind whenit comes time toundertake construction, renovation or demolitionat home ..
